Hi, I am Keiva. I am a mom of three wonderful kids and a female business owner from the beautiful Caribbean islands of Trinidad & Tobago. I’ve been a business owner since 2013 but I dabbled in many sidelines before moving fully into the world of entrepreneurship and I held many roles before finding my passion in Email Marketing.

Professionally, I am an email marketing specialist and certified MailerLite expert hired by female business owners who are ready to leverage email marketing to accelerate the growth of their community and their business.

Personally, I am a God-loving woman with a purpose to motivate and inspire other female business owners especially moms (like me) to build their legacy in a way that allows them to spend more time with their families while generating an income through their passion.

I wish I could tell you that becoming a business owner was an easy road but that would be a lie. I can tell you that the trials helped me to develop faith, character, and a strong sense of purpose. I am very thankful for the people God has placed in my life throughout this journey as each one of them has helped me to become the person I am today and to achieve my dream of being a business owner.

This is my story.

After being in a cushy corporate job for ten years, I found myself wanting to do more with my life. I was fed up with slaving away at an eight-to-four job, being stuck in traffic for hours on a daily basis, and even more fed up with missing out on my kids’ lives as they seem to be growing up so fast! I longed to be able to live my life in a manner that was fulfilling and to be able to be in control of my time but I was afraid to venture out into the unknown.

I had a good salary, at least good enough to pay my bills and take care of my family although many times it felt like there was more month than money! Why should I dream of better? Was I capable of better? Could I make enough money to take care of my family, pay bills and live a life of freedom as a business owner? Every time these thoughts popped into my head the fear of leaving the corporate world for the unknown grew within me but time only made the calling stronger.

I often felt that I had to do more with my life than slave away at an 8 to 4 job. I had big dreams of helping other women, like me, to build and grow their businesses. I strongly felt that moms in business and female business owners needed what I had to offer. But what exactly did I have to offer?

For so long I was afraid to step out and follow my dreams so I denied my calling. It wasn’t until my youngest daughter asked me to play with her and as usual after a long day, I was too tired and frustrated to play. I told her I was tired, she didn’t understand how exhausted I was! Exhausted from traffic, exhausted from trying to balance my salary with my never-ending expenses, and more exhausted from going to a job that brought me no joy and was taking so much from me including the time I longed to spend with my family.

Her small still voice said in a very sad tone “You’re always tired Mommy,” my heart broke at that moment. What was I working for if I couldn’t spend the time that mattered with my family? There and then I decided that I had enough and, come what may, I was going to follow my calling and leave the corporate world.

I started planning and putting things in place but God had a bigger plan for my life and the move came faster than I thought. I did not have a clue what I wanted to do with my life but I always wanted to own a business so I ventured into the world of entrepreneurship. After a few years, I tapped into my love for marketing and took a course on digital marketing, and shortly after I was accepted for an internship with a Florida-based company that opened my eyes and my heart to Email Marketing.

I fell in love with email marketing because I saw the potential to build communities for women like myself who have stories to tell and a dream of being business owners. This is how I would follow my calling and help change the world, by helping to build communities through the power of the written word to a receptive audience. I researched in groups to understand how email marketing benefited the people currently using it and to identify the problems they encountered.

My research brought me to the conclusion that while email marketing held a wealth of benefits most people were frustrated as they didn’t understand how to tap into the power of email marketing and efficiently use this tool.

These findings helped me to create signature Done for You and Done with You email Marketing services which were tailored to suit various needs. With both of these programs, my goal is to help female business owners build their community and grow their business off social media and onto a platform where they own their audience. The advantage of owning your audience is vast but there is the incredible benefit is not having to face the hassles of a changing algorithm or compete with thousands of other business owners to speak to their ideal clients.

The results of my work speak for themselves. I have accumulated numerous testimonies of delighted business owners whom I’ve helped to effectively use email marketing to smash their open rates, build strong bonds with their subscribers, and increase sales in their businesses.

I now feel a deep sense of fulfillment in my life, knowing that my business is based on my passion for helping women to show up as the powerhouses they are while pursuing the life they want through their businesses. I have no regrets about taking this journey into entrepreneurship.
