Something special for the budding momtrepreneurs

According to The Week, in an article entitled, “The Rise of the Momtrepreneur” mothers from “all over the country are becoming high-profile influencers and powerhouse saleswomen.” The article continues, “With massive online followings, these savvy moms are creating mini-empires in shockingly short time, and racking up billions in sales in the process.”
Momtrepreneur, says Marielle Henault, an ex-Disney exec, founder of Doobry, and a sometimes blogger, “is a fairly new word, barely around for a decade. It describes women — moms, obviously — who run their own businesses, usually out of their homes.”
Also known as mompreneurs, from mom-entrepreneurs, a specific type of entrepreneur, and in a blog post on their website, Wanderschool suggests, “Many moms choose to become mompreneurs because they can work from home. Others choose to become entrepreneurs because they get to be their own bosses.”
Wanderschool also offers advice on eight points they suggest as how to become a mompreneur yourself:
1. Imagine the life you want.
2. Hire a business coach for moms
3. Listen to mompreneur podcasts
4. Follow popular mompreneur blogs
5. Build or expand your professional network
6. Use how to make money apps
7. Invest in yourself; commit to education
8. Keep up on news & trends in your industry

Whether you call them Momtrepreneurs, mompreneurs, or work-at-home moms (WAHMs), moms of all sorts are carving out a new place for themselves in online business. As full-fledged entrepreneurs, they are running home-based businesses successfully while managing all of the usual family responsibilities any mother shares. Become a powerhouse momtrepreneur in your own right.
